Dare to... Open Up (Part 2)
Part 2 of our “Dare to… Open Up” conversation opens up with topics such as personal truth, false beliefs, and the power of strong mentors. Our hosts, Dr. Lester Clowes and Dr. Bobo Blankson, refuse to take their foot off the pedal as they continue their efforts in honoring Mental Health Awareness Month – especially for our Dads. While revisiting the critical idea of “safe spaces” for Dads, Les pays a quote forward that has been big for his own personal journey. And, the two bring this to a conclusion with a discussion around the power of mentorship and strong inner circles. They also have a special “mental health” edition of Name That Dad”, and they bring Part 2 to a compelling close by sharing their own struggles with anxiety and depression and how Dads need to be open about their journeys with their kids so they can create new generational norms for their families.
